The 2010 sectional conference was held by Radford University and had a dinner mystery theme with August Saroll and Claire Eberhardt attending.Ģ011’s Sectional Conference was hosted by Zeta Beta at Virginia Tech. Radford University’s chapter hosted sectionals in 2006.Įmory and Henry University hosted the 2007 Sectional Conference, where Mandy Ferree and Katelynn L. Longwood University’s Alpha Alpha Omicron chapter hosted the conference in 2004. In 2003, the sectional conference was hosted by Zeta Beta. The sectional conference of 2002 was held at Emory and Henry. A Section Distinguished Service Key was awarded to Jamie Conover, and she was reelected to serve as Section Chair for the coming year. Thirteen chapters were represented, including all 6 in our section, for a total of 132 brothers. The theme for the conference was "Doing Service 'til the Cows Come Home." The Sectionals Chair was Shawn Murphy. In spring 1997, Zeta Beta hosted the first annual Section 81 Conference. ZB brothers on the Section Split Committee included Jeff Dodson, Shawn Murphy, Jamie Conover, John Conover, Judy Thompson, and Michael Leahy. It serves the colleges and universities of Western Virginia. On August 1, 1996, Section 81 was founded. On March 30th, 1996, the brothers of Section 82, which consisted of the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, decided to split into two sections, 81 and 83. The twenty-four brothers who went got the opportunity to meet National President, Gerry Schroeder. The Sectional Conference for 1994 was held at William and Mary. In 1993, 30 brothers traveled to Emory and Henry College for the Section 82 conference. The 1992 Sectional Conference was held at University of Virginia.

Superdance, chaired by Jen Rackley, was held during the conference and all of the chapters participated. Zeta Beta hosted the 1991 Sectional Conference, and Steve Hauenstein chaired the event. In 1990, the Sectional Conference was held at William and Mary. 1989's Sectional Conference was held at the University of Virginia. The Chapter was involved in the 1987 Sectional Conference held at Radford University, and in 1988, many brothers traveled to Longwood College to participate in the Section 82 conference. The Chapter also attended the Sectional Conference held in 1985 at Emory and Henry. Zeta Beta's voting delegates were Matt Radinovic and Lauren Waagbo. The Conference was held on March 31 and seven chapters came to participate. Zeta Beta was the host of the Sectional Conference in 1984. Zeta Beta was also involved in the 1983 Sectional Conference held at the University of Virginia. The Conference included a Sectional Service Project (cleaning at the Christiansburg Community Center). In March of 1982, Zeta Beta hosted the annual Section 82 Conference, which was attended by six chapters. In the spring of 1978, ZB took over the responsibility of hosting the conference because of lack of interest of other sectional chapters.
